Listening Heart's
mission is fivefold:
1. To provide peer
listening and referral to individuals in crisis seeking emotional
support;
2. To inform the
public about issues of crisis management and prevention;
3. To provide volunteers
with education and an opportunity to gain experience in these
areas of service to others;
4. To provide a social
support network for individuals who are committed to the common
cause of being in service to others in need.
5. To reassure the
elderly that they are not alone and connect them with the services they
need.
